Myra "Emily" Emmalyn Bush

Emily Renn Bush, 72, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at her home.

Emily was born June 23, 1947 in Halifax County to the late Johnnie Renn and Rosa Doyle Renn. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Larry Wayne Pepper, Sr. and Tommy Ray Wrenn; her brother, John Burns Renn, Jr.

Emily loved her family and did all she could for them.

Emily is survived by her sons, John Wesley Pepper, Larry Wayne Pepper, Jr. and his wife Sherry and Michael Todd Wrenn and his friend Brittney Nichole Crawford; her grandchildren, Phillip Michael Wheat, Wesley Thomas Pepper, Tommy Ray Wrenn and Carroll Beckelman, IV; her sisters, Doris Renn Harris of Hampton, VA and Betty Renn Torgeson of Warwick, NC; her cousin, Janet Renn Biege.

A memorial service to celebrate Emily’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Sue Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of Rosemary United Methodist Church, 900 Jackson Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870 and other times at the home of her son, Wesley.
