Morris “Tom” Clay Moseley, 94 of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026 in his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Moseley was born on September 9, 1932 to the late Renza Moseley and Louise Williams. He was the widow of Helen Shirley Harris Moseley and was also preceded in death by his brothers Randy Moseley and Raymond Moseley, as well as his stepmother Martha Moseley.
Mr. Moseley was a longtime member of Roanoke Rapids First Pentecostal Holiness Church, and he was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. In his younger life, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to joke and socialize with his family and friends. He was also a diehard Braves and Redskins fan.
Surviving include his daughters, Linda Mozingo (Glenn) of Jackson, NC, Wanda Patrick (Greg), and Susan Patton, both of Roanoke Rapids; his brother Glenn Moseley (Catherine) and his sister Evelyn Spence, both of Roanoke Rapids, his grandchildren Ashley Brown (Wesley), Mark Mozingo, Beth Rankins (DeQuandra), Erica Mastro (Dillon), Brittany Proctor (Jeremy), Steven Patton (Chelsea), and Stephanie Howerton (Christopher), his great grandchildren, Aubree Howerton, Alayna Brown, Thomas Brown, Myles Brown, Ella Proctor, Grayson Proctor, Amelia Mastro, Elijah Rankins, and soon to be Logan Rankins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 in Roanoke Rapids First Pentecostal Holiness. Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service and at other times at the home of Wanda & Greg Patrick, 111 Bald Eagle Drive in Roanoke Rapids. Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hocakdayfs.com. In Lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service to assist the family.
