Monte Gene Pittman

Monte Gene Pittman, 59 of 6206 Hebron Road, Oxford died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Duke Medical Center in Durham.

Mr. Pittman was born December 4, 1950 in Halifax County to the late William Edward Pittman and Viola Draper Pittman.

He was an electrician and a talented musician, who played many instruments, with several area bands. He also loved history.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Brother: Curtis Pittman; sister-in-law: Roberta Pittman.

Mr. Pittman is survived by his wife: Elizabeth F. Pittman of the home Brother: Willard Pittman and wife Lydia of Roanoke Rapids; Sister: Sandra Warren and husband Billy of Darlington; ten nieces and nephews, sixteen great nieces and nephews, four great-great nieces and nephews, Beloved friends James and Patricia Bailey.

Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 29, 2010 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Jeff Haislip officiating..
