Mildred Elaine Lee Ferguson

Mildred Elaine Lee Ferguson, 83, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014.

Mrs. Ferguson was born September 13, 1930 in Northampton County to the late James Millard and Gracie Ferguson Lee. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Alfras Goodwin Ferguson; her granddaughter Nikki Batten, and grandson Randy Ray Ferguson. Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her sons Willie A. Ferguson and wife Betty; Randy L. Ferguson and wife Sylvia all of Roanoke Rapids; and Elton G. Ferguson and wife Shelby of Richmond, Va.; her daughter Donna F. Tillery and husband Dale of Roanoke Rapids. Her brother Bernard Lee and wife Doris of Gaston; and sister Shelby Jean Clements of Roanoke Rapids. Mrs. Ferguson is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, with Rev. Annie Doodle Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 2103 Pine Loge Rd, Skippers VA. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 7:00 to 8:30 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service and other times at the home.
