Michael Edward Sledge

Mr. Michael Edward Sledge, 60, of Roanoke Rapids died December 28, 2021.

He was born in Halifax County on January 16, 1961, the son of Clarence and Barbara Fowler Sledge.  He was preceded in death by his mother and also by a daughter, Stephanie Nicole Sledge.

Michael was formerly employed by Lloyd Bennett Logging and he also farmed.

Survivors include his father, Clarence Sledge; brother, Clarence Lee Sledge; sisters, Kimberly Renee Thacker and Angela (Michael) Arlene Trinneer; nieces and nephews, Steven (Katelin) Thacker, Anthony (Monica) Thacker, Chris (Ashley) Thacker, Brianna Clay, Zach Clay; 3 great-nephews and 4 great-nieces; as well as friends Johnta Reid, John Reid, Jr., and Mary Edmead.

A private memorial service for Mr. Sledge was held earlier.  No additional services are scheduled at this time.
