Michael Keith Shearin

Michael Keith Shearin, 55, of Valentines, VA passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at home.

Mike was born February 22, 1966, in Halifax County to Grady and Virginia Capps Shearin. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Grady Shearin; his brother, Gary Shearin and his son, Daniel Shearin.

Mike was always busy, loved working outside, the beach. Mike loved sweet tea, especially his mom’s. Mike loved riding his harley, his family and going out on his pontoon boat.

Mike is survived by his mother, Virginia Capps Shearin; his daughters, Kaitlin Michelle Shearin of Raleigh and Brittany Leigh Shearin of Chicago, IL; his brothers, Dean Shearin and his wife Teresa and Lee Shearin and his girlfriend, Tracy Potter; his nephews, Brad Shearin and his wife Holly and Gary R. Shearin.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 12, 2021, in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service and other times at the home of his mother.
