Mr. Michael Carlton France of Roanoke Rapids died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC.

Michael was born November 24, 1948 in Halifax County to the late Parmer Carlton France and Dorothy Brown France. Michael served in the US Army from 1968 to 1971 and was a member of New Life Christian Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda France Davis.

Those surviving include his wife Paula C. France of the home; Son, John P. Jody France; Daughter Tracey France Brake and husband Bo. Grandchildren; Natalie France, Courtney Brake, Holly France, Ben France, Katie Brake, and Hunter France.

A memorial service celebrating Michaels life will be held Sunday, October 14th, at 3:00 PM at New Life Christian Church with Rev. Billy Meinsen, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
