Michael Wayne Baird

Michael Wayne Baird, 49, of Littleton, died Friday, April 9, 2021 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Michael was born April 26, 1971 in Halifax County, the son of Cecil Calvin and Betty Horton Baird.

He was a 1991 graduate of Northwest Halifax High School, and worked with Shelton Roofing.  He loved “KISS”; enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his nieces and nephew.

Michael is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, William and Jessica Baird; nieces and nephew, Jacob, Summer and Elizabeth Baird; and an aunt, Linda Cannon.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.  No additional services are planned at this time.
