Maybell Hux Daniel

Maybell Hux Daniel, 70, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Mrs. Daniel was a member at Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Womens Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Daniel, Sr.; her son, Randy Eugene Daniel; her daughter, Linda Gail Rose Coley and her sister, Elsie Hux Pittard.

Surviving are her son, John Franklin Daniel, Jr. and wife, Connie, of Sachse, TX; daughter, Marsha Annette Daniel and significant other, Mark Gainey, of Raleigh; brother, Lee Wesley Hux, Sr. and wife, Audrey; sister, Sheila Hux Casey and husband, Jeff, and half-sister, Lorena Hux Hawkins, all of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Crystal Sitzanis, Steven Rose, Christopher Coley, Jonathan Coley, Paige, and Bradley Daniel. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 5-7 pm and all other times at the home of Jeff and Sheila Casey. Rev. Randy Martin will conduct funeral services in the chapel at Hockaday Sunday, August 3, 2014, at 2:00 pm with interment to follow at Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
