He was a member of God's Church of Deliverance in Weldon and was the most tolerant person one would ever know. He was an elder in his church and never met a stranger; everybody was his friend. He never complained, and helped everyone. He was born March 23, 1935, to the late John Edgar Hoffa, Sr. and Ingaba Dorothy Auvil Hoffa.
Mr. Hoffa is survived by his brother, John Hoffa and wife, Phyllis, of Vultare, and his sister, Mary McLean, of Gaston, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 8, 2011, at 7:00 pm at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service which is handling the arrangements, conducted by Pastor Ralph Dailey. The family will receive following the memorial service.
