Mattie Tudor Thompson

Mrs. Mattie Tudor Thompson, 88. died April 30, 2018 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

A Halifax County native, she was born September 9, 1929, the daughter of Willie and Mary
Lloyd Tudor. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker, and had attended both Gum Chapel and
Weldon Pentecostal Holiness Churches.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her son, Larry Thompson of Roanoke Rapids; her daughters,
Rhonda Gregory of Roanoke Rapids, and Nancy Clary and husband Michael of Gasburg, VA; grandson,
Robbie White and fiancee' Bobbi Davis Perdue; granddaughters, Teresa Rhodes, Angela Wright (Frank Jr.)
and Frankie Evans; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters; grandson-in-law, David
Rhodes; a loving neighbor and step-daughter, Edna Miles; step-daughter, Ollie Mae Bennett.

In addition her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Richard Gregory.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm Wednesday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation
Service.

The funeral service for Mrs. Thompson will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday from the graveside
at Crestview Cemetery. Pastor Wayne White will preside.
