Mary Hazel Thomas Hale

Mary Hazel Thomas Hale, 89 formerly of 122 House Mill Road, Roanoke Rapids died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Hale was born November 5, 1920 to the late David Frank Thomas and Nora Finch Thomas.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by her husband: Bud Hale; a son: Ronald Lee Hale; a granddaughter: Mary Ellen Tucker; her brothers: Raymond Thomas, Elwood Thomas and Wayne Thomas; her sisters: Dorothy Jones and Alma Adams.

Mrs. Hale was a longtime member of the Roanoke Rapids Church of God. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved cooking and taking care of her family.

Mrs. Hale is survived by her son: Linwood Hale, Jr. and wife Bonnie; daughter: Betty Jean Hale both of Roanoke Rapids; Grandchildren: Johnny Tucker of Seymour, IN; David Lee Hale of Elliston, VA; Wayne Hale and wife Deb and Tommy Hale and wife Sara both of Roanoke Rapids; Great grandchildren: Jonathan and Jamie Hale of Las Vegas, NV.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m.Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Crestview Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Wiggins officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home 122 House Mill Road or 1245 American Legion Road..
