Mary Sasser Finch

Mrs. Mary Sasser Finch passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in Lynchburg, VA.

She was born August 24, 1924 in Roanoke Rapids to the late Albert and Lizzie Sasser.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband Marshall, her brother Johnnie Sasser, and his wife, Jane Sasser.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons Warren Finch of Henrico, NC, and Albert Finch (Sally) of Forest, VA. She is also survived by her grandsons, Derek Finch (Lindsay) of Forest, VA, Brian Finch (Heather) of Jacksonville, FL, Henry Finch of Iowa City, IA, and Harry Finch of Henrico, NC. She is also survived by one great grandchild, Charlotte-Jo Finch of Forest, VA, her sister in law, Dorothy Finch Williams of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and a host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Mary was a graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper. She was very active in The Pilot Club of Roanoke Valley, as well as the First United Methodist Church in Roanoke Rapids.

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Roanoke Rapids, on Wednesday, April 17 at 3:00pm. Please join the family in the fellowship hall after the service to celebrate Marys life.
