Mary Liverman Epps

Mary Liverman Epps, 80, of 121 Western Drive, died Sunday, February 28, 2010, at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and worked as a bookkeeper for Strickland Associates and Deluxe Dry Cleaners and for Mr. James. She also ran the day care at First Baptist Church for six years.

Mrs. Epps was born March 25, 1929, to the late John D. Liverman, Sr. and Daisy Sheffield Liverman Tripp. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gene Epps; her son, William L. Epps, II, and her brother, John D. Liverman, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri Johnson and husband, Mike, of Roanoke Rapids; her sister-in-law, Joyce Lyles and husband Payne, of Spartanburg, South Carolina; her grandchildren: Hillary Hilliard and husband, Tait, of Durham, Lauren Epps of Greensboro, Michael D. Johnson of Oklahoma and Sara Lassiter and husband, Brandon, of Rocky Mount.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at First Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Rick Gaskins, at 1 P.M. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and other times at 200 Vincent Road.
