Marvin Edward Wilson, 78, died February 02, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Wilson was born in Halifax County, NC, March 20, 1943, son to the late Robert Lee and Effie Blanche Stansbury Wilson. He proudly served his country while in the United States Navy with 25 years of service.  He was also a member of Valley Community Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Wilson.

Surviving is his wife, Lourdes Wilson; sons, Mike Wilson and wife, Deborah, Shane Wilson and wife, Hayde, Toby Wilson and wife, Deni and Travis Wilson and wife, Kay; brother, Robert “Bobby” Wilson and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Zachary & Alexis Wilson, Chloe Wilson Hedrick, Phoebe & Tyler Wilson. Also surviving are his great grandchildren, Auhsey Wilson and Auhni Wilson and his beloved pet, Poppy.

Pastors Jamie Taylor and Bruce Collier will conduct funeral services at Valley Community Church Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm and the family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church beginning at 1 pm. Interment will immediately follow in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids.
