Marvin Edward Pearson

Marvin Edward Pearson, age 78, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 23, 2019 in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Gloria Kobs Pearson (married 60 years); his sons, Gordon (Nancy) and Steve (Robin) Pearson; his grandchildren, Michael (Faye) Pearson, April Hux, Brandy Martin, Amanda (David) Briley, Brittany Crickmore, Stephanie (Michael) Wallace, Ryan (Kim) Pearson, and Bryce Pearson; as well as 17 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Eva Pearson; and his brother, Fred “Unk” Pearson

Marvin was born on March 26, 1941.  After school he worked as a self employed contractor and also ran a nursery and pet shop. He was a great family man and a loving father and husband.

Marvin was an avid Nascar fan and owned and raced his own cars as well.  He also loved fishing and hunting as he was able.

The family will receive guests at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service on Friday December 27th from 6-8 pm.

The funeral is scheduled for Saturday December 28th at 2 pm from the graveside at Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
