Martha Seaborn Ray

Martha Seaborn Ray, 82, died Thursday, May 20, 2021 in her Roanoke Rapids home.

She was born May 3,1939 in Sussex County, VA, the daughter of Cecil Guy Seaborn and Gertrude Virginia Williams Seaborn.

Mrs. Ray retired from the NC Department of Social Services following 20 years of service.  She loved antiquing, and following retirement operated Marty’s Antiques and Things at Riverside Mill.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Pair (Laura Beth) of Roanoke Rapids; daughter, Kelley Coakley (Kit) of Burlington; grandchildren, Cameron Sipe, Vivian Sipe, Carter Pair and Finley Pair; brother, Cecil Guy Seaborn, Jr. of Jarratt, VA; sister, Peggy Ellis of Sussex, VA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 23, 2021, from the graveside at Reidville Baptist Church Cemetery, 20158 Princeton Rd, Sussex Co, VA.  Pastor Gary Parks will preside.
