Marjorie Shaw Shaw

Marjorie Shaw Shaw, 85 of Sam Powell Dairy Road died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Shaw was born August 8, 1928 in Halifax County to the late Joe Shaw and LuLa Powell Shaw. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Arthur Shaw; her sister: Iona Rogers; her brothers: Woodrow, Jessie and Johnnie Shaw; her niece: Martha Williams; and her nephew: Leon Shaw.

Mrs. Shaw is survived by her two sisters: Sadie King and Betty Morris both of Roanoke Rapids; her nieces and nephews: Terry Shaw, Arlene Smith, Edward Shaw, Kathy Liles, Patricia Tippett and Herbert Rogers all of Roanoke Rapids, Shelia Shaw and William T. Shaw both of Canton, NC, Larry Shaw of Jessup, GA and Sylvia Branch of Littleton. The family would also like to give special thanks to her caregivers: Shirley Kearney, Beverly Norman and Kalesia Harvey and also to the staff of Community Home Care and Hospice.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 1:30- P.M. prior to the service and other times at the home.
