Marilyn C. Pepper

Marilyn Rose Chambliss Pepper, 71, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017.

She was born December 20, 1945 in Halifax County to the late Kenneth Chambliss, Sr. and Wilma Edwards Chambliss. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Chambliss, Jr.; her sister, Ramona Chambliss; her sister-in-law, Gayle Robinson.

Marilyn was a loving wife and she loved her family. She loved music, working with kids and was a very giving person. Marilyn was also a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Wayne Pepper of the home; her father-in-law, Joe N. Pepper; her brothers-in-law, Jerry Pepper and his wife Shirley and Mike Robinson; her sister-in-law, Linda P. Warren all of Roanoke Rapids; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 6, 2017 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Sue Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the funeral home and other times at the home.
