Marie Viverette Rogers

Marie Viverette Rogers, 80 of 1309 Edwards Street, Weldon died Saturday, November 27, 2010 at her home.

Mrs. Rogers was born August 10, 1930 in Nash County to the late Hoyt and Helen Winstead Viverette. She retired from JP Stevens after 30 years, member of Community Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Rogers loved her family. She was a woodman for over 40 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Brothers: Clinton and Richard Viverette; her Sisters: Annie Lee Ingram and Wyona Jenkins.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband of 64 years Troy Rogers of the home; Brother: Donald Ray Viverette of Sharpsburg; Sister: Ruby Davis of Halifax; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Chuck Owens officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, November 29, 2010 from 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home and other times at the home. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
