Margaret Virginia Wallace Rowell

Margaret Virginia Wallace Rowell, 82, died Monday, February 28, 2011, at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount.

Mrs. Rowell was born July 14, 1928, to the late Mayo Wallace,Sr. and Elsie Smith Wallace. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Rowell, her grandson, Grant Philip Chappell, her daughter, Judy Ann Rowell, and her brother, Jack Wallace.

She was retired from J. P. Stevens after 40 + years of service and was a regular attender at the Sunday School and Bible study at Becker Manor.

Mrs. Rowell is survived by her daughters: Brenda Rowell Blanton of Roanoke Rapids, and Patricia Rowell Chappell Kutulas and her husband, James, of Whitakers; her grandchildren: Jonathan Chappell and wife, Jeanetta, and Ray Blanton of Roanoke Rapids, Mark Chappell and Kayla Chappell of Whitakers; her great-grandchildren: Markus Chappell and Lily Chappell of Roanoke Rapids, and Wesley McClary of Whitakers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service conducted by Dr. Julian R. Mills, Sr. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday,March 2, from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. and other times at 520 Becker Drive, Apartment 318..
