Margaret Melinda Hux

Margaret Melinda Hux, 71, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025, at ECU Health North.

Melinda was born February 22, 1954, to the late Grady L. Hux and Margaret Hawkins Hux. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Matt Hux.

Melinda loved to paint.

Melinda is survived by her sons, Grady Chad Cooke and Stacey Cooke; her brother, Phil Hux and his wife Jean; her granddaughter, Alexis Cooke and one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Cedarwood Cemetery with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of her brother, Phil Hux.
