Maggie Newsome Gentry

Maggie Newsome Gentry, 86 of Roanoke Rapids died Friday, September 07, 2012 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Gentry was born May 15, 1926 in Northampton County, North Carolina to the late Charlie Massey and Annette Newsome.

Mrs. Gentry was of the Baptist Faith. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and gardening.

She is survived by three sons: Robert (Bobby) Turner of Roanoke Rapids, Jerry Bogart of Virginia Beach, VA and Will Gentry of Pennsylvania; one daughter: Patricia Garris of Ahoskie , NC; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday, September 10, 2012 at Crestview Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 9:00 P.M. Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
