Mabel Esther Townsend

Mabel Esther Townsend, age 96, of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., previously of Lawrenceville, VA, passed away on August 15, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Townsend, her twin sister Blanche Finch, her sister Doris Edwards and her brother William “Bill” French, Jr.

She is survived by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Lou Powell, nephews and nieces.

A private burial was conducted at the Manson’s United Methodist Church cemetery in McKenney, VA.
