Lonnie "Tony" Parker

Lonnie Tony Parker, 71 of Roanoke Rapids passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Tony was born March 18, 1944 in Johnston County, NC to the late Lonnie Parker and Willie Maxine Strickland Parker.He was also preceded in death by his brother: Clinton Parker; his sister: Shirley Parker Hicks.

Tony was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and friend.He was a diehard Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan, hardworking and a jack of all trades.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Kim Parker of the home; his son: Jamie Parker; his daughter: Laura Beth Parker both of Roanoke Rapids; his grandchildren: Garrett Dunlow and Landen Parker Edmondson; his brother:Bobby Parker and his wife Frances of Mechanicsville, VA; his sisters-in-law: Laura Godsey of Roanoke Rapids, Terrie Howell of Bolton, Melodie Johnson of Roanoke Rapids and Alice Faye Parker of Selma; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. James Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the funeral home and other times at 3011 Highway 158, Roanoke Rapids.Burial will follow at the Little Country Church Cemetery..
