Lois Dell Coggin Thomason

Lois Dell Coggin Thomason, 89 of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Saturday September 27, 2025.  Lois was born on April 19, 1936, in Halifax County, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack W. Thomason, parents Swep and Florine Coggin, her brothers Charles Coggin, Oscar Coggin, Roland Coggin and Billy Coggin

She is survived by her sons Denny Melton, Charles “Al” Thomason (Marie), Glenn Thomason (Donna), Allen “Bud” Thomason, daughters Lisa Hester (Ray), Dawn Thomason,18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Lois was a member of Emanuel Worship Center in Emporia Virginia, where she loved serving the Lord in many ways: she was a mighty prayer warrior, went on mission trips, visiting the nursing homes and shut-ins and giving her love and prayers to everyone see saw.

There will be a graveside memorial service on Friday October 17, 2025, at 2:00pm in Rocky Mount Memorial Park 4454 Dortches Blvd. Rocky Mount, NC 27804. Pastor Currie Burgess presiding.
