Linwood “Lin” Earl Keeter, 78, of Weston, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
Linwood was born in Roanoke Rapids, NC, on January 27, 1948, a son of the late Earl Roy Keeter and Isco R. Wynn Keeter. In addition to his parents, Linwood was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Keeter.
Linwood was a loving and devoted husband to Janice Lee Carter Keeter since they exchanged vows on March 18, 1978. Their enduring love story is an inspiration to all who witnessed their bond.
Forever cherishing their memories of Linwood is his wife, Janice Keeter of Weston; numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.
Linwood was a pillar of strength and character to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a proud graduate of William R. Davie High School, Class of 1966, and a veteran of the United States Air Force. A devoted husband, caring friend, and respected supervisor at the FBI, Linwood made every moment count and left an indelible mark on the lives of those he touched. He was an active member of the VFW in Weston and the Vietnam veterans’ group in Jane Lew. A history buff with a deep love for visiting museums, particularly those featuring airplanes, Linwood was also an avid reader and movie enthusiast.
Family and friends will gather for Visitation at Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. in the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wease Day officiating with full military honors accorded by the United States Air Force and Lewis County Honor Guard. Interment will be held at Quankie Baptist Church Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC, at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026.
