Lillie Mae Nines Wallace

Lillie Mae Nines Wallace, 93, of Roanoke Rapids, went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 31, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Wallace born October 9, 1919 in Nash County to the late James Elijah and Sarah Frances Walker Nines.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Ted Wallace; her sisters Mattie Elizabeth Nines, Luddy Narron, Ruth Newton, Stella Holt, Tempie Bunn, and Gladys Boone; and brothers Grover Nines, Willis Nines and William Nines.

Mrs. Wallace is survived by her daughters Faye Stevens and husband Steve of Rocky Mount, NC; Betty Hux and husband Hillery of Efland, NC; Ann Perdue of Louisburg, NC; Edna McClenny of Richmond, Va.; and RhondaWallace of Drexel, NC. Her brother Roger Nines of Spring Hope, NC. Mrs. Wallace is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 4th, 2013 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service at 2:00 PM with Rev. Randy Martin and Rev Randy Nines officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday. January 3rd, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home and all other times at the home.
