Lillian P. Joyner, 90, died Wednesday July 23, 2014, at Hampton Manor in Gaston.

Mrs. Joyner was born in Beaufort County June 7, 1924, to the late Mr. Linton and Lillian Linton. She was a homemaker who dearly loved her family and was a volunteer at Halifax Regional Medical Center for over 10 years. She also loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Joyner was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Wilson Joyner, Sr.

Surviving are her sons, Johnny Wilson Joyner, Jr. and wife, Marie, of Gaston and Bryan Keith Joyner of Gaston; daughter, Rita Clary; grandchild, Tammy Ramsey and great-grandchild, Jaidyn Ramsey.

The family will announce service arrangements at a later date.
