Lacy W Byrum

Lacy Ward Byrum, 77, died at his residence January 2, 2014.

Mr. Byrum was born in Bertie County to the late Ruben Byrum and Nettie Seuiss. He worked with the Patterson Mill for 38 years. He loved his family and the outdoors, especially fishing.

Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Kathy Starke Byrum, of the home; one son, Lacy W. Byrum, Jr., and wife, Barbara, of Roanoke Rapids; one daughter, Wendy Byrum of Roanoke Rapids, three brothers, Spencer Byrum of Como, NC, Roger Byrum of Greensboro, NC and Red Byrum of South Carolina; three sisters, Mary Lee of Colrain, NC, Patsy Barnes of Edenton, NC, and Wendy Byrum of Little Washington, NC. Also surviving are many, many grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

The family will have a service to celebrate Mr. Byrums life at a later date.
