Kenneth Daryl Ballero

Kenneth Daryl Ballero, 43, passed away at his home Wednesday, April 27, 2016.

Daryl was born in Halifax County, January 19, 1973, to the late Allie Worth Carter and Mary Virginia Dunn Ballero. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved mudding, fishing, racing and cooking out. Most of all, he loved being with his family.

Surviving is his wife, Diane Ballero of the home; son, Cody Ballero and fiance, Christina Fowler; daughters, Payge Barham and fianc, Adam Vernava, Angel Kirkland, Erica Barber, Hailey Barber, Heather Ibell and fianc, David King, Jr. and Celina Ibell and boyfriend, Sammy Langley, all of Roanoke Rapids; brother, A.W. Junior Carter, Jr.; sisters, Darlene Kling, Joanie Delbridge, and Hazel Carter, all of Roanoke Rapids and his cousin who was like a brother, Mark Frazier of Clayton. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service Thursday, May 5, 2016, from 6-8 pm. The family will have a private service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Daryl Ballero Remembrance Fund, 507 HWY 158, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
