Karen Jean Patteson Lassiter

Karen Jean Patteson Lassiter, 67 of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at Signature Healthcare and Rehab on Monday April 20, 2026. Karen was born on February 2, 1959, in Bluefield West Virigina. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Lassiter, son Erik Lassiter, parents James and Norma Patteson.

She is survived by her sons Patrick Skeens (Sara Hale), Kenny Lassiter, Chris Lassiter (Shannon), brothers Randy Patteson, Mark Patteson (Mae), sister Christine Bryant (Timmy), grandchildren Diamond Skeens (Bret Scott), John Skeens (Jasmine McKee), Katelynn Lassiter, Austin Lassiter, Dalton Lassiter, Norma Lassiter, and great grand children Hunter Scott and Erik Scott.

Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She retired from the Northampton County DSS and loved to crochet blankets.

Family will receive friends and family on Thursday April 24, 2026, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. There will be a graveside service on Friday April 25, 2026, at 1:00pm in Cedarwood cemetery. Pastor Wayne Marshall will conduct the service.
