Julian House Shaw, Jr.

Julian House Shaw, Jr., 84 of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, in ECU Health North Hospital.  Mr. Shaw was born on April 3, 1939, the son of the late Laura Alice Crawley Shaw and Julian House Shaw, Sr.  He was also preceded in death by his son Julian Frances Shaw.

Surviving include his wife Debra Grubb Shaw, his daughter Genevia Best of Wilson, his step daughter Lisa Cain of Roanoke Rapids, his step son Timothy Cain of Midlothian, VA; his sisters Margaret Walker (James) of Stokes, NC and Ann Lovings (Jerry) of Rosewell, GA; his grandchildren, Brenda Poythress, Matthew Young, Laura Jane Best, his step grandchildren, Brycen Wyatt Cain, Ella Frances Cain, and Aubree Grace Cain and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 2:00 PM in Open Door Fellowship Church with Pastor James Rawls officiating.  Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com.  Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the Shaw family.
