Joyce Sadler Ingram, 75, of Gaston, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Joyce was born May 28, 1940 in Northampton County to the late Charlie Sadler and Pattie John Jordan Sadler.She was also preceded in death by a special friend Robert Bobby Johnson;her sisters:Edith Mae Chambliss and Emma Jane Skipper; her brother Charlie Sadler.

She was a member of Roanoke Rapids Pentecostal Holiness Church.Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.She never met a stranger and loved everybody. She loved her church, her church family and the Lord.Joyce also loved all animals.

She is survived by her sons: James Edgar Johnston and John Anthony Johnston and his wife Angie; her daughters: Joyce M. Johnston, Patricia Diane Nowell and Donna Darlene Johnson and her husband Wade; her brother: Donald Sadler and his wife Pat; her sister: Nannie Faye Bateman; her grandchildren: Michelle Mercer and her husband Johnnie Ray, James Ray Peterson and his wife Glenda, Ruby Peterson, Justin Tyler Spence and his wife Rachel, Anna Ray Woodruff and Heather Newton all of Roanoke Rapids; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Roanoke Rapids Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. D.A. Leonard officiating.Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 12:30 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at the church.
