Joseph Bartley Horne, Jr.

Joseph Bartley Horne, Jr., 67, of Roanoke Rapids passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at his home. Mr. Horne was born on April 30, 1957, the son of the late Priscilla Balmer Horne and Joseph Bartley Horne, Sr. He was also preceded by his son Travis Horne, and his sisters Marie Barkley, Vickie Turner, and Katherine Collins.

Surviving include his wife Grace Brooks Horne, his sons: Chris Horne (Crystal) of Roanoke Rapids, Brian Horne (Ashley) of Nags Head, Patrick Horne (Marissa) of Kentucky, Brent Taylor of Roanoke Rapids, and Phillip Taylor (Katie) of Roanoke Rapids; his sisters Stella Ricks of Roanoke Rapids, Barbara King (Donnie) of Roanoke Rapids, and Wanda Edwards (Vince) of Henrico; his grandchildren: Katie, Allyson, Payden, Radnie, Wyatt, Penelope, Abby, Jesslynn, Kendall, Versailles, Zane, Mason, Isiah, Caleb, and Micah; and his great grandchildren: Leo, Logan, and Lillianna.

Mr. Horne was a loving husband, brother, father, and poppy.  He loved to hunt, fish, bowl, and go camping.
