Joseph Oliver Davis, Jr., 84, died at his residence Saturday, June 17, 2017.

Mr. Davis was born in Johnston County, November 18, 1932, to the late Joseph Oliver Davis, Sr. and Lola Narron Davis. He served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Sally Davis; daughter, Angela Faye Davis and son, Gary Joe "Beau" Davis.

Surviving are his sons James D. K.C. Davis and Robert Earl Davis; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will hold a gathering of friends to remember Mr. Davis life Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service from 5-7 pm.
