Joseph Clarence Curley

Joseph Clarence Curley, 81, of 1762 Hawkins Chapel Road, Roanoke Rapids, died Monday, November 9, 2009, at Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.

Mr. Curley was retired from J. P. Stevens after 28 years of service.

He was the son of the late Fred Cyril Curley and Nettie Harrell Curley, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Beamon Curley and a daughter, Nancy Anne Curley.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Daniel Curley and his wife, Kimberly, of Roanoke Rapids; a special niece, Donna Curley; his grandchildren: Christopher and Joshua Curley, Dustin Carroll, Dallas and Casey Hollowell, and Haley Curley.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 12, 2009, in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service at 2:00 P.M. conducted by Rev. Randy Martin. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 11, from 7 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home and other times at 190 Fairlane Drive, Roanoke Rapids.
