Jonathan "Coconut" Scott Grant

Jonathan “Coconut” Scott Grant 54 of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday October 2, 2025.  “Coconut” was born on September 18, 1971, in Richmond, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents Willis and Rose Grant.

He is survived by his wife Rose Smith, son Christopher Grant (Caitlin Westbrook), daughter Berri Bunn, grandchildren Allanna Grant, Emazha’e “MJ” Foster Jr., Aubrey Daniel, Eliana High, Eva-Moore High, Emoni Moody, Ja-Viann Bunn, Za-Viann Bunn and Jackson Westbrook.

“Coconut” was an electrician by trade, a Washington Redskins fan, and most importantly he was a family man. He loved all his family and spending time with them

There will be a memorial service on Sunday October 12, 2025, at 2:00pm in Hockaday Chapel, Pastor Jason Yeatts presiding.
