Johnathan Wayne Turner

Mr. Johnathan Wayne Turner, 54, of 116 Carico Rd., Roanoke Rapids, was born October 11, 1959. Wayne was able to receive his crown as he entered into heaven on January 19, 2014.

He was such a great employee of Proctor Maintenance/Piping for many years with such a great work crew. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church with a wonderful church family. Wayne was such a loving man who was loved by many. He also enjoyed talking, joking, singing, traveling, and shopping. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Joshway J.W. Turner, and his wife, Wanda Kay Turner.

He has left behind such precious memories with his loving mother; his care taker, Sara Mae Turner of the home; his only daughter, who he loved dearly, Tina Turner; grandchildren, who was the love of his life, JaQuan and JaKaylah Jefferson, all of Littleton. Wayne had a host of aunts, uncles, and close friends, who will all miss him.

The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 7:00 8:30 pm. Rev. Randy Martin will conduct funeral services Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the chapel at Hockaday at 2:00 pm with interment to follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids.
