John Franklin Pierce

John Pierce, a love and respected member of Good Samaritan Baptist fellowship Church died on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, in Halifax county North Carolina, at the age of 89.
John is survived by his children; Tim Pierce, Mark Pierce (Sherry), Barry Pierce (Carrie), and Kathryn Rhodes; His sister marry huff; His grandchildren; Tyler (Amanda), Brandon (Ady), Lauren (Michael); His great grandchildren; Gracelyn, Aubrey, and Oaklyn.
He is predeceased by his father; William Henry Pierce, his mother; Pattie Irene Gardner, His wife; Emma Pierce, and one grandchild; Travis.
John was an avid member of his church, serving as a faithful deacon for many years. He was a wonderful, loving father, husband and grandfather. John served in the army from 1953 to 1955 and drove a truck for upwards of 40 years. He often spent his free time on vacations with his family making memories. He was one of the kindest, most unselfish, loving men, who went above and beyond to help his family and friends. To say that he will be missed is a true understatement.
A service will be held on Saturday October, 15. 2022 at Good Samaritan Baptist fellowship Church, 142 Zoo road South Roanoke rapids North Carolina where pastor Dennis Gregory will officiate. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. following the service, we will then meet at the grave site at 127 Randolph Park road, Enfield North Carolina. Family and friends are then cordially invited back to the church for a reception with food and drinks.
