Joseph Monroe Wall
January 8, 2026
Joe Wall, 79, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on January 8, 2026. Born on May 4, 1946, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Joe lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to those around him.
Joe graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School, where he served as drum major, a role he continued with pride at Campbell University. He earned his degree in religious education from Campbell and went on to build a successful career in sales. Known for his friendly nature and lighthearted humor, Joe had a natural way of connecting with people that served him well throughout his professional life.
Joe was a man of many passions. He was a passionate grandfather, an avid painter, fisherman, woodworker, and traveler who found joy in both creating and exploring. His artistic talents extended into his community, where he generously taught art classes at the local senior center, sharing his gifts with others.
After retiring from sales, Joe answered a deeper calling and became an ordained minister. He served faithfully as lead pastor at Park Baptist Church, where his kind and loving spirit touched the lives of countless congregants. In 2021, he moved to Arizona to be closer to his children and grandchildren, carrying with him a lifetime of faith and love. Joe rested in the assurance of God’s promises, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is now home with his Lord and Savior.
