Mrs. Joanne Claiborne, 57, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, died in Norfolk, VA.

Joanne was born June 14, 1950 in Mecklenburg Co., VA, the daughter of James and Irene Parrish Thaxton.
She was a retired CNA.

A private memorial service is planned.

Survivors include her sons, Robert King of Norlina and Anthony King of Kenbridge, Va; granddaughter, Montana King of Roanoke Rapids; and a great-granddaughter, Lailynn Luce.
