Jimmie Wayne Carter

He was born July 29, 1942 in Halifax County to the late Jimmie V. Carter and Annie Mae Carter Carter. In addition to his parent he was also preceded in death by his brother: Bobby Carter; Sister: Ethel C. Burnette.

Mr. Carter loved riding his bicycle and his pocket knives.

He is survived by his sister: Ruth C. Butts of Southport, NC; three brothers: Vernon Carter and his wife Maybelle, David Carter and his wife Edith, Danny Carter and his wife Teresa all of Roanoke Rapids; Aunt; Margaret C. Springston of Wake Forest and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Bishop Blaine Givens officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00-8:30 P.M. at the funeral home and other times at 202 Robinson Drive..
