Jessica Lynn Wells

Jessica Lynn Mabrey Wells, 28, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, at New Hanover Medical Center in Wilmington.

Jessica Was born in Halifax County on September 26, 1993, to Jeffery A. Mabrey and Margie Williams Mabrey. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jimmy Williams, Sr., her father-in-law, Mike Jones.

Jessica is survived by her husband, Michael Wells of Emporia, VA.; her parents, Jeff and Margie Mabrey of Roanoke Rapids; her mother-in-law, Patricia Jones; her children, Kannon Wells, Nadia Wells and Selena Brown; her brothers, Justin and his wife Harley, Brandon and his wife Jessica and Josh Langley and his wife Tiffany; her maternal grandmother, Linda Midgette Williams of Lake Gaston, NC; her paternal grandparents, M. Ray and Pie Mabrey; her uncles, Jimmy Williams, Jr. of Lake Gaston, NC and Terry Mabrey of Roanoke Rapids, NC.; her aunt, Susan Castro-Bonilla and her husband Joel of Durham, NC.; her brothers-in-law, Justin Wells and Dwayne Jones; her sisters-in-law, Debra Rifkind and Jennifer Phillips.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Cedarwood Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy King officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
