Jerry Wayne Norwood, 68, of Richmond died Monday, February 25, 2013 at his residence. Jerry was born in Greensville County, VA, October 6, 1944 to the late Robert C. Norwood, Sr. and Virginia Dare Taylor Norwood. Jerry loved animals. In addition to his parents Jerry was preceded in death by a brother Gene T. Norwood.

Jerry is survived by his brother Robert C. Bobby Norwood, Jr. of Gaston; his nephew Robert C. Robbie Norwood, III of Roanoke Rapids; three nieces Patricia N. Cocke of Gretna, Va., Lynda N. Crabtree of Mason, OH, and Debra D. Norwood of Emporia, Va.; and special friends, his cats Cleo and Tiger.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 1st, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Greensville Memorial Cemetery on Hwy. 301 in Emporia with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 28th, 2013 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.
