Jerry Lee Carlisle

Jerry Lee Carlisle, 67, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation Center in Hertford, NC.

Jerry was born in Sampson County, NC April 11, 1945 to the late Gilbert Carlisle and Rachel Williams Carlisle. After proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War while in the United States Army, he later returned home and worked as a pipe fitter and welder in the construction business. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother William Boyd Carlisle and nephew, Gilbert Carlisle.

Surviving is his two sons, Cory Carlisle and wife, Mesha, of High Point, NC and Jerry Lee Tony Carlisle, II and wife, Merry Rachele, of Bear Grass, NC; brother Curtis Ray Carlisle and wife, Bettie, of Darlington; grandchildren, Hailey, Camden, Perry, Sydney and Jackson. Also surviving is his nephew Kenny Carlisle and niece Deborah Harris.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 6-8:30 pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon.
