Jeffrey Evans Jones

Jeffrey Evans Jones, 61, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 in ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

Mr. Jones was born on July 7, 1962 in Halifax County; the son of Nancy Evans and the late Curtis Earl Jones.  He was also preceded in death by his brother Ricky Jones.

Surviving along with his mother Nancy are his loving wife of 28 years, Penny Smith Jones; his children:  Jonathan Simmons (Morgan) of Nashville, NC and Amber Newell (Eddie) of Winterville, NC; his sister Karen J. Jean (George) of Roanoke Rapids; his grandchildren:  Ashton Simmons and Lacey Simmons; his special friends:  Danette Love, Robie Poythress, Wanda Carter, and William Shawm R; his loyal companion Piper; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jeffrey loved riding his Harley Lowrider and playing with his grandchildren.
