Jane Hamill Dixon

Jane Hamill Dixon, 78, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 in Vidant Inpatient Hospice.

Mrs. Dixon was born in Thelma, NC on July 6, 1941 to the late Roberta and Archibald Hamill.   Mrs. Dixon was a member of the 1959 graduating class of Littleton High School where she served as valedictorian.  She loved reading a good book and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving include her husband James Thomas “Sam” Dixon, Sr.; her sons:  James Thomas Dixon, Jr. and his wife Michele of Stella, NC and Caswell Drake Dixon of Castle Hayne, NC; her brothers:  John Davis Hamill and his wife Itzel, and Archibald Grant Hamill, Jr. and his wife Maria, both of Richmond, VA; her sister Joanne Hamill Tripp and her husband William of Thelma, NC; her grandchildren:  Jessica Dixon Reece, Brandon James Dixon, Ashley Dixon Black; her great grandchildren:  Trevor James Black, Jr. and Micah Black; her special caretaker and friend Theresa Pair and many special cousins.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 26 ^th in the House Family Cemetery with Rev. Stanley Lewis officiating.
