Jane Marshall Bunn

Jane Marshall Bunn, 86, died Friday, September 16, 2022 in ECU Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.

Mrs. Bunn was born February 28, 1936, in Chatham, VA, a daughter of the late Franklin and Minnie Gamble Kelly.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bunn was preceded in death by her husbands, Clement “Moe” Marshall, and Ellis Bunn; one sister, and six brothers.  She was a member of Gaston First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughters, Minnie Boyd of Roanoke Rapids, Ruby Averette of Oxford, NC, and Sandra Felts of Roanoke Rapids; sisters, Nancy Marshall and Virginia Burnett, both of Danville, VA; 2 grandchildren, Tammy Boyd Brackin and Brandon Stansbury; and 1 great-grandchild, A.J. Brackin.  She is also survived by a special friend and caregiver, Verla Jenkins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 pm Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Eric Bass presiding.  Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
