James "Chad" Monroe Vinson

James Chad Monroe Vinson, 34, died Monday, June 25, 2012 at his residence on Vance St.

Chad was born in Halifax County, May 24, 1978 to James Monroe Boone and Kathy Moore Vinson. He was a handyman in the construction industry; loving husband, father and brother. He loved NC State, the New York Giants and loved fishing and his Play Station. Chad is preceded in death by his father, James Monroe Boone.

Surviving is his wife, Denna of Roanoke Rapids; mother, Kathy Vinson of Pendleton; step-mother, Carolyn Boone of Roanoke Rapids; three daughters, Avy, Madison, and Mia Vinson, all of Roanoke Rapids; brother, Joseph Boone of Roanoke Rapids; two sisters, Laura Vinson of Pendleton and Kasey Boone of Roanoke Rapids. Also surviving is his aunt, Sadie Irwin of Rocky Mount.

The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, who is handling arrangements, Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 6:30-8:30 pm.

A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Luke Walker Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm in Crestview Memorial Cemetery. After the service, friends and family will be gathering at the home of Denna Vinson on W. 4th Street, Roanoke Rapids.
